Help a Child? : Why did we select this cause?

Poverty is the biggest problem in our Generation. Nearly all Problems Generate from here, Exploitation, Corruption, etc. But there are Charitable Institutions where you can just give money and they look after the things. Now you don’t know what they are doing with your money or even if funds reach the poor, you don’t know what happens with all that.

So what can be done? A solution to break through the Cycle of Poverty? The Answer is Education. Yes, if your well educated, you can fight with diseases, deal with problems and most of all, Get employed.

And this Noble Cause has been picked up by the Charity : Help a Child, where they aim to provide scholarships to intellectual students who can’t afford the Increasing costs of Education around. And we at Twestival Mumbai also decided to help them in Their Noble Cause.

We aim to :-

  • Provide the Charity a Platform on Twitter
  • To Spread Awareness
  • To Raise Funds to help us succeed in our Mission
We hope to have a large attendance so that we can tell people, what good work Help a Child is doing and how they can help.
Till now, Help a Child has succeeded in Sponsoring 1208 children till now, and they still hope to increase the number. For 2009, Still 305 Children are waiting to be sponsored. We hope that our event will bring up the momentum and we will be able to contribute to the end of Poverty.
Charity Details are available here and you can follow them on twitter too.
Now, if you really want to help us in our mission, please go through our event details and see if you can attend Twestival Local Mumbai 2009! Also, please spread the awareness by Tweeting and other social networks. Thank you so much.
